Overview

Double Klondike expands the familiar solitaire shape by adding a second deck and more foundation pressure. The W04 browser version keeps the interface compact, but the planning question is larger than classic Klondike: more duplicates create more apparent moves, and not all of them help. You are still alternating color in spirit, exposing hidden cards, and building toward foundations, yet the double-deck width makes empty lanes and king placement more important. It is a good page for players who know regular solitaire and want a heavier board without a heavier download.

Controls

Select a visible column card, then place it on a compatible destination column or an empty lane. Use the keyboard arrows to scan columns, Space or Enter to pick and place, and D when the current layout needs a fresh deal rhythm. On mobile, the bottom OK button is safer than dragging because long double-deck columns can sit close together. The reset button is always available for a new shuffled run. Treat every input as a column decision first; the game is about clearing access, not rapid card flicking.

Scoring and Progress

Legal moves, exposed hidden cards, and cleared sequences increase the score. Because the layout is larger, high ratings come from efficient access rather than simply making many small moves. Wasting tempo on duplicate cards that do not reveal anything can inflate move count without improving the board. Local best storage lets you compare patient foundation-first openings against aggressive column building. Strong Double Klondike scores usually show a balanced table: several exposed low cards, at least one useful empty lane, and no single column becoming a buried junk stack.

Strategy Tips

Think of duplicates as choices, not freebies. If two black queens are movable, choose the one that reveals a hidden card or opens a lane for a king. Empty columns are powerful but dangerous; filling one too early may block the only route for a longer sequence later. Before dealing, check whether any move exposes a face-down card, because hidden information matters more in a two-deck layout.

Mobile Play

the cursor controls are useful on phones. Move column by column, confirm with OK, and avoid quick taps on overlapping stacks. Landscape helps compare all lanes, but portrait gives long columns space to breathe.
