Place mobile drone nests around an orbital route and react to interference events.
Drone Defense is a moving-airspace variant. The route curves around the center, so coverage is about arcs rather than straight lanes. Early enemies drift slowly through the airspace while charge income is high. Later, random signal events make the same layout feel less reliable: lock-on delay, shield craft, stealth wings, and swarm bursts all pressure different parts of the orbit.
Build drone nests on pads near the flight path, then upgrade nests that cover the widest arc. Use arrows and OK on small screens, or tap pads directly on desktop. Drone shots splash lightly, so one upgraded nest at a dense curve can outperform three isolated weak nests.
The scoring model favors interceptions, remaining airspace integrity, and survival after the random pressure schedule begins. Debug uses a fixed seed for recording, while normal runs vary. Hardcore is not tied to a clean minute mark; when it lands, enemies speed up and jamming makes drone cooldowns feel suddenly heavy.
Do not fill every pad at once. Build two nests on opposite arcs, then save charge for the first interference event. If signal jam appears, upgrade fewer nests instead of spreading. If fast air raid appears, place near the inner curve where enemies spend more visible time before they reach the protected zone.
Mobile play benefits from the selector because orbit pads can overlap the path visually. Keep an eye on phase and next-event text. The intended mood is confidence first, then a sharp realization that your neat drone ring may not survive hostile airspace. In this version, the events to respect most are signal jam, fast air raid, stealth wing. If one of them is less than half a minute away, delay cosmetic expansion and keep enough resource for one decisive build or upgrade.
