Game Guide

Overview

Chimp Test is a visual order challenge inspired by number-position memory. Several numbered tiles appear, and after you click the first tile the numbers hide. You then continue clicking the positions in ascending order. The hard part is that the board changes from a labeled layout to a spatial memory problem at the moment you begin. This makes the test different from ordinary number recall: you must scan quickly, create a map, and execute the order without labels.

Controls

Study the whole board before clicking number one. Use the mouse or touch to select tiles in ascending order. After the first click, rely on memory because the remaining labels disappear. There is no need to drag; every action is a clean tile tap. If you use a trackpad, lift between clicks so one accidental movement does not hit the wrong square.

Scoring and Progress

Each completed board gives points for every hidden tile in the chain. Clicking the wrong location breaks the streak and records the round as a miss. Accuracy tells you whether your memory map is reliable, while the score shows how far you can push larger boards. The best runs usually come from steady scanning, not from instantly clicking the first number before the rest of the layout is understood.

Strategy Tips

Scan in a loop before the first click. Find one, then two, then three, but also notice anchors such as the top row, lower corner, or an empty gap. Some players remember a path across the board; others remember clusters. Avoid repeating the numbers out loud without positions, because the labels vanish and the task becomes spatial. If you fail, identify the missing tile instead of blaming speed.

Mobile Play

On phones, keep the board still and use deliberate taps near the center of each tile. The first tap is the commitment point, so do not tap one until the later positions are also placed in memory. If your thumb blocks part of the grid, switch to a two-hand hold or use a fingertip. A slower first click often produces a better full chain.
