Kakuro turns a crossword grid into intersecting arithmetic runs. Every open square receives a digit from one through nine. Digits may not repeat inside a run, and their total must equal the diagonal clue at its entrance. Because each square belongs to a horizontal and vertical run, one sum continually narrows the other. The included board is checked by enumerating run combinations until a second solution or the unique answer is found.
Tap an open square to focus it, then type a digit or use OK to cycle its value. Arrow buttons travel between playable squares while skipping clue blocks. Zero, Delete, or Backspace clears an entry, and Reset restores the original crossing sums and given digit. The diagonal clue cells show downward totals above the slash and across totals below it, matching conventional Kakuro notation.
Points come from digits that satisfy both crossings, with a larger completion award after every run is correct. A partially filled run can remain provisional, but duplicate nonzero digits and totals already above the clue are visible in the text snapshot. The percentage meter measures exact placements rather than raw activity, so spinning through numbers cannot manufacture progress. Your best completed score remains in local storage.
List combinations before arranging them. A two-cell total of seventeen can only be eight and nine, while a three-cell total of six must use one, two, and three. Cross out digits already fixed by the perpendicular run, then place a value only when its position is forced. Recheck column totals after finishing a row; a correct local sum can still use the wrong ordering until its crossings agree.
